The downloaded QMR report in PDF format includes the following data:
I. Cardholder activity
Transaction and volume categories for cardholder activity are defined as follows:
Domestic On-Us: A cleared transaction where the Issuing Bank and Acquiring Bank are the same. The issuing bank is defined by the system parameter HOME_BANK_AIID (accessible via Settings > System properties > Card).
Domestic other branch / non-Mastercard processed: This category is not supported and is always 0 in the generated QMR report.
Domestic interchange: A cleared transaction made at a merchant within the issuing country, where the Issuing Bank and Acquiring Bank are different. The issuing country is defined at the product level.
International within region: Cleared international transactions where the Issuing Bank and Acquiring Bank are different, and the transaction occurs at a merchant outside the issuing bank’s country but within the same region (e.g. SEPA or non-SEPA).
International outside of region: Cleared international transactions where the Issuing Bank and Acquiring Bank are different, and the transaction occurs at a merchant outside both the issuing bank’s country and region.
Total: The combined total of all the categories above.
A1. Purchases
Transaction count and volume of cleared transactions made for the purchase of goods or services.
A2. Funding MCC 4829
Transaction count and volume of cleared funding transactions under MCC 4829 - Money Transfer.
A3. Funding MCC 6540
Transaction count and volume of cleared funding transactions under MCC 6540 - Point of Interaction Funding Transactions.
A4. Funding MCC 6538
Transaction count and volume of cleared funding transactions under MCC 6538 - MoneySend Funding.
B. Cash disbursements
Transaction count and volume of cleared transactions made to withdraw cash.
Breakdown of cash disbursements:
ATM cash disbursements: Transactions where cash is withdrawn via automated teller machines (ATMs).
Teller cash disbursements: Transactions where cash is withdrawn in person at a bank teller.
C1. Refunds / Returns / Credits
Transaction count and volume of reversal transactions, such as refunds, returns, or credits.
C2. Payment consumer
Transaction count and volume of cleared MoneySend payment transactions identified as consumer-initiated.
C3. Payment government
Transaction count and volume of cleared MoneySend payment transactions identified as business- or government-initiated.
C4. Payment gaming / Gambling
Transaction count and volume of cleared MoneySend payment transactions under the following MCCs:
MCC 7995: gambling transactions, betting;
MCC 9754: gambling: horse racing, dog racing, state lottery.
D. Accounts / Cards
Account: A unique Mastercard number, typically 16 digits, reflecting all transactions and outstanding balances.
Card: Only physical cards with a plastic activation date are reported as cards.
Account metrics
Accounts at the beginning of the quarter: The number of open and temporarily blocked accounts at the start of the reporting period.
New accounts obtained during the quarter: The number of accounts added to the card program during the reporting period.
Accounts terminated during the quarter: The number of accounts that were retired or expired during the reporting period.
Accounts at the end of the quarter: The number of open and temporarily blocked accounts on the last day of the reporting period.
Accounts with at least one transaction during the quarter: The number of open and temporarily blocked accounts that completed at least one transaction within the reporting period.
Card metrics
Cards at the beginning of the quarter: The number of open and temporarily blocked physical cards at the start of the reporting period.
New cards: The number of physical cards added to the card program during the reporting period.
Cards at the end of the quarter: The number of open and temporarily blocked physical cards on the last day of the reporting period.
Cards with at least one transaction during the quarter: The number of cards that completed at least one transaction within the reporting period.
IV. Card feature details
This section provides the total number of Mastercard accounts that are active at the end of the reporting period, along with the number of transactions and transaction volume that occurred during the reporting period, grouped by reporting product code.
For each reporting product code, the number and volume of transactions are further broken down by transaction method, including:
Insert transactions (chip transactions)
Swipe transactions (magnetic stripe transactions)
Tap-to-pay transactions (contactless transactions)
E-commerce transactions (card not present)
Mobile wallet transactions (e.g. Apple Pay / Google Pay)
